I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
